Damn, amazing how this city always manages to be calm one minute and then blown to hell next time I wake up. Doesn't surprise me much, just more surprised that it isn't even the damn monster's fault this time an' everyone is freaking out over folk disappearing. Well of course people are going to disappear... it's Manhattan, different or not. Yeah, it's likely whatever folk are knocking on our little cage from the outside. Like hell it's the monsters themselves. Really, people never use logic.

Person is smart, people are crazy... panicky. Jump to conclusions. Sometimes I hate this city.

Guess I should go out there and do some damage control. Maybe stop folk from going to Central Park. Whoever came up with that idea, anyway? The creatures are just the tool to this whole "operation." Hell, they aren't sneaky ninjas. Already proved that much enough times.

Yeah, the whole calming down idea? It's a good one. Step back, take a deep breath, maybe eat a little pie, and settle the hell down. It ain't gonna do anyone any good if y'all run off and get yourselves killed.

Trust me when I say this, a big mass of people are easier to get stepped on than one. If y'all cause a big ruckus and draw attention to yourselves? It ain't gonna end up good at all. For you, and probably for the city.

On another note about that 'net bug or whatever we're calling it - not sure if anyone's covered this already - but the outside area is apparently fine. We're the only ones trapped in a hellhole like this.

Don't know about the rest of you lot, but I find that slightly reassuring.

Alright, would someone please mind tellin' me what the hell happened in Battery Park? I've got some personal connections to the area, and to find it all in shambles is really pulling the strings of my heart, see? Now I'm pretty sure this ain't just some sort of 'practical joke' or anything stupid like that. Most aliens that enjoy those sorts of things learned that we don't share their same sense of humor.
